This was the first major strategy game to hit the market in 1990, and it has continued to receive rave reviews from the critics and command top dollar in the computer game stores, to the point that I would rank it with Microsoft Flight Simulator, Zork, and the original Mac version of Wizardry as a computer game classic. The 2D interface is typical MicroProse from a graphical standpoint, but the AI is outstanding, and the game still provides me with a good challenge each time that I play it. The only major bug is that the computer sometimes claims victory in a space-race ending, even if his spaceship doesn't have all the pieces that it needs to work (like life support). | |||
